History of Banesco USA

Banesco USA, an independent Florida state-chartered bank with $1.87 billion in assets as of August 30, 2019 was founded in 2006 and is based in Coral Gables, Florida. Banesco USA is completely independent of Banesco in other countries and its deposits are insured by the FDIC. The bank has six branches in South Florida: Aventura, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Hialeah and Weston; and one in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Important Information, Dates & Required Actions

Please review the information below as it contains important dates and actions that you should take into consideration to avoid interruptions to your banking services.

Personal and Business Debit Cards

  • Your new Banesco Visa® Debit Card and Pin Code will be mailed to you separately the week of October 14th, 2019.
  • You may activate and start using your debit card beginning November 12th, 2019 at 8:30 am. Your current Brickell Bank Visa® Debit Card will be deactivated on November 12th, 2019.
  • You will need to update any automatic payments associated with your Brickell Bank Visa® Debit Card with your new Banesco USA Visa® Debit Card.

Please Note: If you have not received your new Banesco USA Visa® debit card by November 7th, 2019 or have questions or concerns about your Debit Card, please call the Client Care Center at +1 (888) 228-1597.

To activate your new Banesco USA Visa® debit card by phone dial:

  • From Venezuela dial: 0.800.122.8226;
  • Rest of the world dial: +1.786.552.0524.

To activate your new Banesco USA Visa® debit card within Online Banking follow the steps below:

  • 1. Visit www.banescousa.com;
  • 2. Login to your account with your Login ID and Passcode;
  • 3. Once logged in, select messages:

    New Message
    Message Recipient: Debit Cards
    (In the message include the last four numbers of your debit card)
    We will proceed to activate your card within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Online Banking

  • Your access to Brickell Bank Online Banking will be out of service beginning November 8th. You can enroll in our new and exciting BanescOnline platform on November 12th (see Online & Mobile Banking section for more details)

Checks

  • You should receive your New Banesco USA checkbook soon. Although we will continue to process your current Brickell Bank checks, we recommend you destroy and dispose of your existing checks and replace them with your new Banesco USA checks beginning November 12th, 2019.
  • Should you have any questions or concerns, please visit us at www.banescousa.com or contact our Client Care Center at +1 (888) 228-1597.

ATMs

  • Beginning November 12th, 2019 you will be able to use any Banesco USA ATMs including the Brickell location ATM with your new Banesco USA Debit card, at no charge.

As a Banesco USA customer, you can use your BanescoVisa® Check Card at any Allpoint ATMs worldwide (more than 55,000 ATMs worldwide and over 43,000 in the US); with no surcharges for withdrawals. Allpoint ATMs are located in convenient, destination retail locations like Walgreens, Costco, Kroger, Target, and CVS. Not all retail locations participate. Check the Allpoint locator to be sure the location is surcharge-free.

Banesco USA Bill Pay

  • Your Brickell Bank Bill Pay service will no longer be available beginning November 8th, 2019.
  • To enroll in Banesco USA Bill Pay Automated Service please enroll and log in to BanescOnline.

E-Statements

  • You will be able to view your Brickell Bank e-statements up to 18 months prior to November 8th, 2019 through Brickell Bank Online Banking. In case you need Brickell Bank e-statements after November 8th, 2019, please contact our Client Care Center at +1 (888) 228-1597
  • Your final Brickell Bank e-statement will be sent on October 31st, 2019.
  • After November 12th, 2019, you will start receiving Banesco USA e-statements through BanescOnline or BanescoMobile.

Direct Deposit / ACH

  • Your direct deposits and incoming recurring ACH transactions will not be interrupted during the conversion between Brickell Bank and Banesco USA. We suggest you update your banking information with any company you have direct deposit or ACH for future transactions.

Hold Mail

  • Hold Mail Services will be replaced with e-statements. (Please see e-statements section on how to enroll). Any future Hold Mail will be suspended. Your current Hold Mail will be destroyed as per the terms on your Hold Mail Agreement.

Amex Credit Card

  • Your AMEX servicing agreement is changing. Banesco USA will no longer be responsible for the payments of your credit card. You will be contacted by our International Department before conversion to give you more details on the changes. Once contacted you need to acknowledge and sign the new agreements in order to avoid service interruption. It is important to notice that your current AMEX card will no longer work beginning November 1st, if you had not agreed by then on the new conditions.

Loan Payment

  • Your loan is now owned by Banesco USA, you should have received a letter with detailed instructions on how to proceed to make your future payments.
  • If your loan payment is currently mailed to Brickell Bank, Chase Bank or Dovenmuehle Mortgage (DMI), or if your payment is on Auto Debit or ACH, your payment will continue as usual until November 8th 2019.

No CHANGES WILL APPLY UNTIL November 8th 2019. Effective November 8th, 2019 please follow the instructions below to send your payments, unless your loan payment is set up for auto debit or ACH:

  • ACH and Wire Templates:

    ACH and Wire templates will not be converted to Banesco USA's Online and Mobile Banking Platform. All ACH and Wire templates will need to be created again in Banesco Online. Our Cash Management specialist will contact you prior to the conversion date (November 12th, 2019) to assist you in creating ACH and Wire templates in BanescOnline. Investment Portfolio

Banesco USA now owns Brickell Global Markets (BGM) formerly a subsidiary of Brickell Bank. BGM will continue to operate as it has been, no further action is needed on your part. Brickell Global Markets Investment accounts will be remaining the same. In the event Banesco USA makes any changes you will be informed accordingly. Until then you should continue to do business with your Financial Advisers as it has been. The custodian of your investment portfolio will continue to be APEX.

The loan collateralize with your investment portfolio is now owned by Banesco USA, you should have received an email with detailed instructions on how to proceed to make your future payments. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Client Care Center.

Will my Business Center remain open?

Yes, the Brickell Business Center will remain open and will be added as part of the Banesco USA network. On November 8th, 2019 it will be re-rebranded to Banesco

Will I still be able to use my checks that say Brickell Bank on them?

Please continue using your current Brickell Bank check supply. You should receive your New Banesco USA checkbook very soon. We recommend you destroy and dispose of your existing checks and replace them with your new Banesco USA checks beginning November 12th, 2019.

Will I receive a new ATM and or debit card?

Yes, you should receive a new Banesco USA Debit Card before November 7th, 2019. If you not receive it by then please call the Client Care Center at +1 (888) 228-1597

Will I need to re-enroll to receive e-statements?

Yes. Banesco USA produces e-Statements for all customers who elect to receive them. Due to regulatory requirements, clients will be required to enroll accounts for eStatements. E-Statements from Brickell Bank will not be transferred to Banesco USA Online Banking, BanescOnline. Therefore, if you need a copy of your Brickell Bank e-statements, please print of download them from your Brickell Bank Online Banking prior to 5:00 PM EST on November 7th, 2019. In case you need Brickell Bank e-statements after November 8th, 2019, please contact our Client Care Center at +1(888) 228-1597 or message us through BanescOnline or BanescoMobile to receive a copy of your e-statements.

Does Banesco USA offer online and mobile banking?

Yes. If you are currently a Brickell Bank online banking customer, you will receive a separate communication with instructions on how to get started to Banesco USA Online and Mobile Banking. You can start using Banesco USA mobile app on November 12th, 2019.

When will my access to Brickell Bank Online and Mobile banking end?

Access to Brickell Bank Online Banking will end on Friday November 8th at 6:00 pm ET.

Will my Banesco USA online banking still be linked to Quickbooks or Quicken?

If your online banking account is linked to QuickBooks or Quicken, you will need to merge or re-link your account.

How many ATMs will I have access at no charge?

As a Banesco USA customer, you can use your Banesco Visa® Check Card at any Allpoint ATMs worldwide, with NO surcharges for withdrawals. More than 55,000 ATMs worldwide and over 43,000 in the US FEE-FREE. Allpoint ATMs are located in convenient, destination retail locations like Walgreens, Costco, Kroger, Target, and CVS. Not all retail locations participate. Check the Allpoint locator to be sure the location is surcharge-free.

Will there be any changes to the interest rate of my existing Certificate of Deposit?

The rate of your CD will remain the same until maturity. At renewal time the rate will change according to our product rate.

Are there any changes to the terms of my loan(s)?

No. the terms of your loan(s) will remain the same.

Will my loan account number remain the same?
